Provilsa has awarded to Volconsa works of remodeling of the Valdés Avenue in Ponferrada, Leon. The awarding budget is 1.116.083, 08 € and its implementation time 6 months.

The avenue is located in the urban area. The section that will be remodeled is from the Valdés Avenue, in the junction with the Compostilla Avenue, to the intersection with Fueros de León street. The rest of the Avenue was reformed recently so that it will not be affected by works.

The Valdés Avenue is a wide avenue with a two tracks road in one way, with parkings to both sides in most of its route and very narrow sidewalks.

The works will allow, respecting the parking’s zones, to have a bike lane and the extension of the sidewalks, that will be about three meters width after the works, apart from the section between the Dr. Fleming street and the Camino de Santiago street where they will be a little narrower due to the construction of a second track of circulation of vehicles without parkings.

A dotacional renovation will be also carried out that will affect to the networks of cleaning, supplying, public lighting system, traffic lights and telecommunications, and to the paving, urban furniture and signaling.
