We can trace our history back more than 30 years. In April 1974 Volconsa, Voladuras Controladas S.A., took its first steps as a new Spanish enterprise.

Our original activity focused exclusively on demolition and controlled blasting, but it took us only two years to grow our business to include infrastructure works (roadways, urbanisation, etc.) and just a few years later, in 1979, we further expanded our business to include the construction, rehabilitation and restoration of buildings.

Over the years these activities have given body and form to a great business undertaking that has grown not only in size and earnings, but also geographically.

The latest activity to be added to the portfolio was Services, encompassing such significant areas as multiservice and integral maintenance, industrial cleaning, waste management and renewable energies.

The expansion and further development of the business led the Company to change the corporate name and, starting in 2003, we became known as Volconsa, Construcción y Desarrollo de Servicios S.A.

At the same time, a new idea began to take shape to create a real estate segment. This resulted in the creation of the real estate developers known as Nueva Dimensión (2003), Nueva Dimensión Canaria (2003), Nueva Dimensión Argentina (2007) and Nova Dimensâo (2008), which since their creation have covered a vast curriculum with real estate products and services that offer not only huge aesthetical value but also quality returns.

Industrial development within the Group is handled by Grudem, a company created in 1995 to operate in the industrial carpentry segment of the construction industry. This company has been a true pioneer in the design and development of "honeycomb” structures in the composition of panels and postformed elements as part of a clear line of research, development and innovation.
